FebriDx® External Controls: Simple Step-by-Step Procedure

FebriDx® External Controls are used to check the performance and reliability of the FebriDx® test. They help confirm that the test is working properly and that the results can be trusted.

External control testing should be performed with every new lot, every new shipment, and the first time a new operator uses the test. The procedure uses one positive control, one negative control, two FebriDx® tests, four single-use pipets, a timer, and gloves.

The process involves preparing the test, applying the control solution, releasing the buffer, and checking the result. The positive control should produce three test lines, while the negative control should produce only the blue control line. If the blue control line is missing, the test is invalid and must be repeated with a new test.

Always follow the product instructions for use and read the results within the specified time. FebriDx® External Controls help support reliable testing and confidence in every result.
