Head Straight to Shibuya Crossing
The fastest method is to drive directly to Shibuya Crossing in the Tokyo City section of the map. This large pedestrian intersection is one of the most recognizable places in the game, so it is easy to locate once you reach the downtown area.
The Statue of Hachikō is positioned beside the main pedestrian plaza near a speed trap. Because the statue is fairly small and partially surrounded by crowds of NPC pedestrians, it tends to blend into the environment unless you slow down and look carefully.
When you arrive at the crossing, avoid speeding through the intersection. Pull over near the sidewalks and use the camera controls to search the plaza area more carefully.
Why Players Often Miss It
Many players expect the statue to be larger or placed out in the open. Instead, the developers designed it to feel more realistic to the real-life Shibuya location, where the actual Hachikō statue is surrounded by busy foot traffic.
From the normal driving camera, the statue can easily disappear behind pedestrians, street signs, or parked vehicles. This is why Photo Mode is the best tool for finding it quickly.
How to Log the Photo Spot
Once you reach Shibuya Crossing, the process is simple:
- Park your car near the edge of the large intersection.
- Open Photo Mode.
- Rotate the camera toward the pedestrian plaza.
- Zoom into the crowd area near the walkways.
- Focus on the small dog statue and take the picture.

Best Time to Search
The statue becomes easier to notice if you visit the area during daylight or clear weather conditions in-game. At night, the neon lights and shadows around Shibuya Crossing can make the statue harder to distinguish from the surrounding scenery.

Although the Statue of Hachikō is not a massive landmark, it is one of the more memorable cultural references hidden inside the game world. Players who enjoy exploration, photography challenges, or discovering real-world Tokyo inspirations will probably appreciate this location more than expected.
It is also one of the easier “Discover Japan” photos once you know exactly where to look. After reaching Shibuya Crossing, the hardest part is simply spotting the statue among the crowds.
