Season 14 of Diablo 4 is shaping up to be one of the most interesting seasons yet. Following the latest Public Test Realm (PTR), players finally have access to Tower leaderboards and a clearer look at how each class is performing. While PTR data never tells the full story, it offers an early glimpse into potential winners, losers, and emerging build trends before the season officially launches.
From returning powerhouse builds to Diablo 4 Gold surprising new contenders, here's a breakdown of the classes making waves in Season 14 and how the revamped Mythic Unique system is influencing the meta.
Barbarian Remains a Dominant Force
Barbarian continues to look incredibly strong heading into Season 14. The current top Tower clear sits at Tier 137, achieved by the familiar Call of the Ancients Summoner Barbarian setup.
Many of the mechanics that made the build powerful in Season 13 remain effective. Several players are still utilizing freeze-based damage amplification strategies, allowing them to push extremely high-tier content where enemies survive long enough for scaling effects to take hold.
Whirlwind Barbarians also remain highly competitive. While they don't quite match the ceiling of Summoner builds, they continue to perform exceptionally well across most endgame activities. New Mythic Unique upgrades have strengthened several Whirlwind-focused items, but overall Barbarian power levels appear relatively unchanged compared to the previous season.
The good news for Barbarian players is simple: one of the strongest classes in Season 13 looks ready to stay near the top.
Necromancer Minions Are Making a Comeback
One of the most exciting developments from the PTR is the resurgence of minion-focused Necromancer builds.
The class currently boasts a top Tower clear of 120, achieved through a Golem and Army of the Dead setup. This represents a significant shift away from the Blood Wave dominance that defined much of Season 13.
Several leaderboard entries feature full summoner builds, taking advantage of recent minion improvements and upgraded Mythic Unique versions of buy Diablo IV gold popular Necromancer items. If Blizzard's balance changes hold, Season 14 could finally deliver a true summoner-focused endgame experience.
