If you have been tearing across the roads trying to 100% your discovery tracker, there is a good chance you have hit a frustrating wall with the landmarks. Specifically, the final landmark for the Nangan region has been driving a lot of players crazy. You check the map, drive through every intersection, and still find yourself stuck at 5/6 landmarks discovered.

The culprit? The Radio Towers landmark. Even though the completion tracker lists it under the Nangan region, the actual structure is located on Legend Island—a late-game area that is completely locked behind campaign progression. If you are trying to track it down, here is exactly how to unlock the island and finally tick this landmark off your list.

Unlocking Legend Island

You cannot simply drive, swim, or fast travel to the Radio Towers right out of the gate. Because it is structurally tied to Legend Island, you have to earn your way there by playing through the main festival campaign. Here is the progression path required to open it up:

  • Get the Gold Wristband: You need to keep grinding through the main Horizon Festival pathway until you finally unlock the seventh and final Gold Wristband.

  • Complete the Legend Event: Once you have the Gold Wristband, the game will open up the final Horizon Legend Event. Completing this showdown will permanently unlock access to Legend Island.

Speedrun Tip: If your main goal is just to clear the map and get this landmark done, focus entirely on winning Horizon Festival wristband races, smashing bonus XP boards, and earning three stars on PR stunts. Avoid side-content like photo challenges or the Drift Club for a bit—while they are fun, they do not advance your wristband levels to unlock the late-game areas.

Finding the Radio Towers & The Tracker Bug

Once you finally get access to Legend Island, finding the Radio Towers is pretty straightforward, but there are a few quirks you should keep in mind when you head over there:

  • Watch out for the Tracker Bug: This is what confuses most players. The Radio Towers landmark physically sits out on Legend Island, but it counts toward your Nangan Region discovery percentage. If you are sitting at 5/6 landmarks in Nangan, driving up to these towers on the island will immediately fix the issue and give you that clean 6/6 completion.

  • Registering the Landmark: All you need to do is drive right up to the structure. Once you are close enough, it will officially register in your Discover Japan tracking journal and pop your completion badge.

Quick Reminder: Discovering the Radio Towers will clear your tracking journal, but keep in mind that landmarks do not act as fast travel points in FH6. You will still need to rely on nearby Player Houses or Festival Sites if you want to teleport back to the area later.
