How to Finish Flickering Threat in ARC Raiders U4N

The “Flickering Threat” quest in ARC Raiders takes you through two connected objectives in Dam Battlegrounds, and a little preparation can make the whole run much smoother. Before deploying, it is worth checking your ARC Raiders Items and making sure you have the materials required for the generator repair, since arriving without them can stop your progress.

Check Your Inventory First

The key requirement for this mission is four Wires. You need all four to repair the broken generator, so this should be the first thing you confirm before entering the map.

If you do not have enough Wires, you are not necessarily stuck. You can search for them while exploring the area, or dismantle certain objects to obtain the material. Toasters, Power Banks, Acoustic Guitars, and Cooling Fans are useful examples of items that can be broken down for Wires.

Still, carrying four Wires before deployment is the simplest approach. It means you can head directly toward the quest location rather than spending extra time searching for materials.

Travel to Dam Battlegrounds

Once you deploy, make your way toward the northern part of Dam Battlegrounds. The first objective is inside the Power Generation Complex, specifically the underground Generator Hall.

The complex is positioned on the far north side of the map. As you approach, look for an entrance that leads underground. You can take the stairs from the northwest entrance and follow the tunnels downward. There is also another option: carefully dropping through openings in the concrete roof.

Both routes eventually lead toward the same underground area, so the choice mainly depends on where you enter and how safe the surroundings appear.

Locate the Damaged Generator

Inside the Generator Hall, continue toward the middle and back section of the room. The broken generator is positioned between the huge turbine units, making the surrounding machinery a useful landmark.

When you are close enough, a yellow interaction prompt will appear. Approach the generator and use the four Wires to complete the repair.

This is an important moment in the quest because the repair is treated as a checkpoint. You do not have to extract immediately after fixing the generator. Even if you die later, the completed repair does not need to be repeated.

Move Toward the Ventilation Shaft

With the generator repaired, leave the underground hall and return to the surface. Your next destination is the Ventilation Shaft, located roughly 50 meters east and north from the generator area.

The structure is relatively easy to identify. It is a tall concrete building with a partially collapsed appearance and a damaged roof. It can also be found near the North Complex Elevator extraction point.

The route is short, but that does not mean it is completely safe. Enemy sentries may be operating nearby, while the Rocketeer can also roam through the area. Keep your surroundings in mind as you move toward the building rather than rushing straight to the objective.

Find the Power Switch

Enter the Ventilation Shaft and follow the stairs downward. The required switchboard or power box is tucked underneath the stairs inside the building.

Look for the glowing switch and interact with it once you have reached the correct position. Flipping this switch activates the backup power and officially completes “Flickering Threat.”

At this stage, there is no additional generator repair to perform. The two main objectives are simply the generator repair followed by the backup power activation.

Return to Speranza

After finishing the quest, head back to Speranza and speak with Celeste to claim your rewards. Completing the mission provides a Radio Renegade costume variant and helmet, along with free medium gun parts.

You will also receive three Advanced Mechanical Components. These rewards give the quest some extra value, particularly if you are already working through other objectives and want additional useful resources.

Keep the Route Simple

The easiest way to remember this quest is to think of it as a short two-stage route. First, reach the underground Generator Hall in the Power Generation Complex and repair the broken generator with four Wires. Then return outside, move toward the Ventilation Shaft, and activate the switch beneath the stairs.

Because the generator repair acts as a checkpoint, you have some flexibility after completing the first objective. Preparing your inventory ahead of time is still the best way to keep the run efficient. If you need to strengthen your loadout before another deployment, you can also buy ARC Raiders Armors to prepare for tougher encounters.
